FUNA-DB is a screening test for basic mathematical skills for primary education.

The FUNA-DB (Dyscalculia Battery) is a research-based screening test measuring basic mathematical skills for grades 3–9 of basic education. The FUNA-DB test can now be administered in the OTuS view of the ViLLE learning environment, which allows the test to be administered to individual students outside of the group assessment period.

The purpose of the test is to identify students who are slow or have problems in developing basic mathematical skills. It is important to identify students with mathematical learning difficulties as early as possible so that their learning can be supported in the best possible way. The primary purpose of the FUNA-DB test is to serve as a tool in planning learning support. It does not measure the content of the curriculum in mathematics, so grades should not be given on its basis.

The FUNA-DB test can be used in the BOSS view with a ViLLE teacher ID or by registering as a TRILA teacher. The Universities of Helsinki and Turku and Åbo Akademi University are involved in the development of FUNA.
