What is it about?

Briefcases Of Special Support (BOSS briefcases) are task sets designed to support special education in the ViLLE learning platform, where basic math and native Finnish language skills are practiced. Each briefcase always focuses on one content area, such as multiplication or reading comprehension, and the tasks are not tied to any specific grade level.

You can find a selection of our BOSS briefcases in Finnish and Swedish at the bottom of this page. The briefcases also include Numeracy briefcases designed to strengthen everyday mathematical skills, which are grouped by skill level.

Why BOSS briefcases?

Both students and teachers benefit from BOSS briefcases! 

ViLLE has its own user interface for BOSS briefcases, which is easy and quick to implement. ViLLE learning platform enables BOSS briefcase assignments to be automatically assessed, and for students to receive immediate feedback on the assignments. Teachers can monitor student learning progress in real time, and detect and address potential learning challenges at an early stage. In addition, ready-made materials designed by education experts and automatically assessed assignments give teachers more time to focus on what is essential, i.e. supporting the learning process.

How can I get BOSS briefcases?

BOSS briefcases are divided into introduction briefcases, and TRILA briefcases. At the beginning of each content area there is at least one introduction briefcase, while the rest of the briefcases in the same subject are TRILA briefcases. ViLLE teachers automatically get access to the introduction briefcases.  The briefcases can be found in the ViLLE learning platform, in the teacher’s user menu in the upper right corner of the page. If a ViLLE teacher also wants to use TRILA briefcases, this can be done through our TRILA collaboration model. Teachers who do not have a ViLLE teacher user accounts can also use the briefcases through the TRILA collaboration model.

Briefcases currently only available in Finnish and Swedish.
